List of areas scheduled for power blackout on Monday

Kenya Power issued a notice informing Kenyans of the scheduled power blackout in select parts of the country on Monday, March 4, 2024.

The utility firm in a notice on its website said that the power interruption is necessary to facilitate maintenance and upgrade power lines to the network.

The utility firm noted that the Monday power interruption will affect Homa Bay, Nyamira and Embu Counties.

Homa Bay

Parts of Nairobi County will be in blackout for six hours, from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

The affected areas include; Apida, Mirembe, Karabondi Kogana, Rakwaro, Nyakwere, Kobala, Burlum, Osodo, Chowe, Kendubay, Seka, Kamondia, Simbi, Nyangajo, Pala, Ugenya Girls, Nyangwete, Mabati Sita, Koneno & adjacent customers.

Nyamira

Parts of Nyamira County will experience power interruptions from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The affected areas include; Gianchore T/Fact, Ikobe, Nyachururu, Nyakanda, Gianchore Tea W/Pump, Nyamatoki, Ebate, Gesangero & adjacent customers.

Embu

Parts of Embu County will be in blackout from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The affected areas include; Java Hotel, Paradise Apts, Capital Park Hotel, Tujenge Farm, Marvel Hotel & adjacent customers
