Linda Okello recalls how former boss frustrated her after tight skirt photo

Linda Okello, a former traffic police officer in Kenya, shot to fame in 2014 after a photo of her voluptuous backside went viral online.

The fame made Linda clash with her bosses and after years of frustrations, she quit her job and relocated to the US.

Linda recently returned to Kenya and talked about her ordeal when her photo went viral in 2014.

Speaking during an interview with local media, Linda explained that she was coordinating traffic at a safari rally event when she was photographed.

“I was talking to my boss, that time I was a corporal of police, I was coordinating the safari rally with my boss. The following day my bosses read about it and the social media it was blown out of proportion. In fact the following day I was undergoing punishment,” Linda said.

Linda said she was accused of flouting the police dress code even though the skirt was her official uniform that was given to her by the authorities.

“[The acusation] was that I was scantly dressed. The allegation was that the skirt was not the police uniform. It was taken to the quartermaster they approved that the uniform was mine even though it was small because this uniform I was given like seven years ago and I am growing it won’t fit the way it was. In fact, I think the camera did not do me justice because there is an angle that if you take a photo it will not appear as, it was focusing on the rear side,” she said.

Asked if she was frustrated by her bosses after that event, Linda said that her former immediate boss in particular really made life difficult for her.

“Yes, I was. They felt that I was so famous, they felt like I was talking to the media. I was not talking to any media. Media people were calling me and I was not giving them information. Instead, my immediate boss was giving some media houses information about me to make me look bad,” she said.

The former traffic officer claimed that her former immediate boss leaked information to the media because she wanted her out of the job.

“Remember when I was transferred to Molo, it was all over the news. It was published in the newspaper that I had been transferred. So she is the one who gave out the information coz she really wanted me out of the office,” she said.

Linda Okello had been living in Summerville, South Carolina before she returned to Kenya in September 2023.

The former cop enjoys a huge following on social media where she regularly updates her fans with her whereabouts.
