Dancehall artiste Konshens has announced he will be returning to East Africa for a New Year’s Eve(NYE) concert to usher in 2024.

In a statement on his official X account, the Gal A Bubble crooner did not however reveal where the stage will be set but Kenyan fans’ hearts are pumping strongly at the prospect of hosting the beloved Jamaican star.

DEC 31st I’m gonna be somewhere in AFRICA!! Specifically โ€ฆ.. in the EAST👀 I claim it🙌😃 drop a flag and tell me where u think?” he quipped.

Konshens who refers to Kenya as his “motherland” is among the dancehall artists whose music commands a great influence among Kenyans and especially millennials who danced along to his tunes during their high school days. It is that history that renders him great.

Konshens last performed in the country during the much-publicised 2021 NYE concert at the Carnivore grounds in Nairobi in an event streamed live on the K24plus app.

At the time, his fellow Jamaican dancehall artiste Charly Black – popular for his hit songs including; Gyal You A Party Animal, Sidong, Whine & Kotch among others – and whose event was ongoing on another ground made a surprise appearance much to the amusement of the fans.
