Media personality and gospel singer Kambua Manundu has announced that she is expecting her third child.

Taking to Instagram Kambua shared a photo of her bulging belly in a white dress covered with flowers terming the pregnancy as a gift from God.

“He restores us. He heals us. He makes all things beautiful,” she wrote.

She did not share any more details about the pregnancy.

News about her pregnancy comes almost two years after she suffered a painful loss in her motherhood journey.

Kambua’s loss

Kambua has been candid about her difficult fertility journey and how faith led her through her six years of waiting after her marriage.

In 2020, she gave birth to her firstborn and announced she was pregnant with her secondborn.

However, in 2021 February, she shared the unfortunate news of the passing of her second child, a newborn named Malachi Manundu Muthiga Mathu.

In an Instagram post, she noted that the baby boy had complications, and efforts by the medics to save his life were futile.

Kambua at the time stated that she would take a social media break to process the occurrence.

“Our tears fall freely because our hearts are broken beyond words. But our faith and hope remain unshaken because we have our trust in a dependable God. A good, good Father. We may not know how to navigate the days ahead, but God does. And so we trust Him. Please allow us some time to process all of this,” she noted.

The Bado Nasimama hit singer made a comeback on May 28 dropping her new song Shukrani noting the love she has received has kept her going.

“Love lifts. Love has truly lifted me, from a place of deep pain & despair. The love of God, my keeper. The love of each and every one of you who cried with me held me, prayed for me and my family,” Kambua wrote.

After her comeback, she openly discussed her healing journey and in September 2021, she shared a bitter-sweet discovery after picking the right store to customise a ring in memory of her late son.

Kambua said since the passing of her son as a newborn, she wanted to honour him with a piece of memorial jewellery.

“One of the things I really wanted to do after my baby boy got his angel wings, was to get some memorial jewellery. I wanted something precious, but also functional. Something I could always wear and remember that Malachi was here. And because I rarely do bracelets, necklaces, etc., I decided to do a ring,” she wrote on social media.
