Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe has revealed that two cunning Kenyans on Tuesday, April 7, called an ambulance under the pretense that they were ailing, hopped into the vehicle and attempted to talk the driver into taking them to a party.

In his daily updates on COVID-19 situation in Kenya, the CS — who addressed the press at Afya House — said the pair did not succeed in their quest.

Kagwe did not reveal the details of the suspects or the exact location in Kenya that the incident happened.

The minister, however, revealed that the two were attempting to flout the 7pm to 5am national curfew, which is currently active.

“We will get them arrested and charged,” said Kagwe.

The CS revealed that five new COVID-19 cases were confirmed between Wednesday and Thursday, bringing the total number of all infections recorded in Kenya to 184.

Kagwe also revealed that a patient in Mombasa died of the disease.
