Suna East MP Junet Mohamed has tongues wagging after appearing in public donning a cap similar to the one MP Didmus Baraza seemed to have lost in Kibra.
The Suna East MP not only wore a similar hat to Baraza’s but also appeared at a Kibra thanksgiving rally donning it.
The cap has people talking because Kimilili MP, Baraza, was roughed up by youths who were in the company of Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati.
Arati, with his youths, cornered Baraza on Thursday during the Kibra by-election in an operation they dubbed ‘guarding ODM bedroom.’
The Dagoretti North MP, in a scene reminiscent of how Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus, walked straight to Baraza effectively identifying him to the youths who then roughed him up.
Baraza’s plea for Arati to recognise and respect his as a fellow National Assembly colleague fell on deaf ears.
“Arati: Unataka ukimbizwe saa hizi (Do you want to be chased away)?”
“Baraza: Sisi we are friends (We are friends), we are colleagues.”
His maroon hat was the first to fall as he was quickly and violently bundled out of Kibra, albeit less violently than former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale.
Khalwale, the bullfighter, was forced to defend himself from goons who literally stoned him.
