A video has emerged showing fun-loving Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho hanging out with renowned socialite Paris Hilton.
Paris, who is also fashion designer and model, is an American millionaire whose net worth in 2019 is estimated to be Sh31 billion (US$300 million).
The American socialite is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels.
The video recording comes at a time online users were goading Mr Joho to comment on recent frightening attacks meted on Bamburi residents by a criminal gang on Tuesday night.
Several members of the outlawed Wakali Kwanza gang have been arrested by police.
“I wonder what example our leaders are setting for us. Of late they are becoming nuisance haki, so how is this helping us in terms of growth as a country, hehehe,” wrote Natasha Yule Mpole on the post by K24 TV.
But Titus Oketch, commenting on the same post, said: “But how would he secure Mombasa had he been there? The last time I checked security hasn’t been devolved.”
