Jimal Rohosafi throws jabs at critics scrutinising his relationship with curvy bestie
Businessman Jimal Marlow Ibrahim, alias Jimal Rohosafi, has dominated social media trends for the better part of the week after he publicly celebrated his curvy best friend Munezero Rosine, aka Bijou Dabijou, on her birthday. Shortly later, his lover Wangari Thiong’o deactivated her social media accounts, fuelling speculation and public scrutiny.
Taking to his official Instagram account on Thursday, May 8, 2025, Jimal told his critics to go ahead and write whatever they wanted, implying that it would not affect him.
“Comment section ikiulizwa inasema nini? But andikeni iwatoke,” he said.
Jimal’s curvy bestie
In a video shared on his Instagram page, Jimal posted a clip of Rosine, who is a Rwandan model, influencer, and video vixen, while celebrating her birthday.
“Happy birthday, bestie,” Jimal captioned the post, which quickly triggered reactions online.
The birthday girl, Bijou, also took to her Instagram stories, where she shared a series of short videos showing that she is currently in Nairobi, Kenya.
In the clips, she was seen touring the city alongside an unknown man, who many believe could be Jimal. In one video, the man can be heard chatting with boda boda riders, telling them it was Bijou’s birthday. The cheerful riders went on to sing her a birthday song.
On the other hand, his lover Wangari seemed to react to the post, shared on her Insta stories, that she was looking for a good therapist.
“Looking for a good therapist for a friend,” Wangari shared.
Wangari’s social media account
Wangari, on May 6, 2025, deactivated all her social media pages just moments after announcing that she was quitting the online world.
In a final message posted on her Instagram page before going offline, Wangari shared that she was giving away her Instagram and TikTok accounts.
“Quitting social media; anyone interested in my pages, IG and TikTok can contact me via DM,” Wangari wrote.
She shared this message alongside a photo of a counselling and psychotherapy facility, hinting that she may be going through a tough time.
Wangari’s move has left fans speculating about the state of her relationship with Jimal.
Jimal and Wangari have been together since his highly publicised split from his ex-wife, Amira. The two went public with their relationship in February 2023 and later welcomed their daughter, Amal.
