Geoffrey Mosiria to Obinna: If you want to quit, give me the money

Nairobi City County Chief Environment Officer Geoffrey Mosiria has urged media personality Oga Obinna not to give up on helping people and instead let him continue the work if he chooses to quit.

Mosiria said if Obinna feels too discouraged to carry on, he should hand over the money to him so he can keep assisting those in need. “Please, na kama utawacha basi hiyo pesa nipatie niendele kusaidia watu na ile kidogo niko nayo niongezee hiyo. Work through me,” he said.

Mosiria made the remarks while addressing Obinna’s recent decision to suspend his personal acts of kindness and charitable outreach. The media personality had announced through Obinna TV Studios that he would be halting his initiatives, citing defamation, manipulation, and malicious behaviour from individuals who took advantage of his generosity.

In his message, Mosiria encouraged Obinna not to be swayed by negativity on social media, insisting that his work is a divine calling. “Obinna, listen to me, don’t stop the work of God. That is why God has given you money. If you stop, God will take away that gift,” Mosiria said.

He urged the entertainer to ignore critics and keep helping those in need. “When you go out of your way to help, you are doing it for God. Ignore the haters. What happened to our brother Shalkido was just a normal accident. Bro, let us continue with this work. You have helped many people,” he added.

Mosiria also said that people will always have opinions, but that should not stop anyone from doing what is right. He said those who question Obinna’s intentions or label his acts of charity as witchcraft are only spreading negativity.

Mosiria concluded by assuring Obinna that God rewards selfless service, even when misunderstood. He encouraged him to rise above online attacks and focus on his mission. “Don’t be overwhelmed by what people are saying on social media. Continue doing it and ignore comments,” he said.

His message comes days after the death of Gengetone artist Shalkido, whom Obinna had recently helped before his passing. Mosiria described the tragedy as a normal accident and urged Obinna not to let it or public criticism stop him from doing good.
