Tanzanian musician Diamond Platinum has made another visit to Ugandan socialite and entrepreneur Zari Hassan’s residence in South Africa despite Zari’s husband Shakib Cham’s recent outburst.
In a lovely video, Diamond who is currently in South Africa had gone to spend time with his kids is seen embracing his baby mama.
The former couple who share two children, Princess Latiffah and Prince Nillan have been co-parenting for six years despite parting ways in 2018.
Zari and Shakib’s online drama
Shakib, who is unhappy with Zari’s close relationship with his ex-husband went online to lament about his wife’s disrespect after being left out of the loop about Diamond’s visit.
In response to Shakib’s outburst, the mother of five took to her social media to address the issue, claiming his reaction is rooted in unwarranted insecurity.
The business lady stated categorically that her ex’s surprise visit was solely for their daughter as she celebrated her special day.
Expressing her disappointment over her husband’s lack of trust, Zari narrated how he accused her of harbouring feelings for her ex adding that her relationship with Diamond is purely co-parental.
“Let me tell you something, if I want to get back to Diamond I can be back. If Diamond wants to get back to me he can be back. But we are so over each other. I don’t want him, he doesn’t want me; I have a husband, he has a girlfriend,” Zari stated.
Zari urged her husband to appreciate her worth and stop subjecting her to his insecurities.
“Me, Zari the boss lady, I am a millionaire, I am intelligent. I can be with whoever I want, but I chose my husband, and I don’t care how you guys see him, ‘Oh, he is broke, he is not good enough.’ I chose to be with him, but he has to put me through this. Aiii my guy, you better change, my guy, you better recognize…” she remarked.
However, Shakib claimed to have called his wife multiple times during the event to check on her whereabouts.
During a phone interview with Gossip Live, Shakib opened up about the challenges in their marriage stating that the major role of respect in any relationship, expressing disappointment that this seemed to be lacking in theirs.
“The mistake I made was thinking that the love is mutual. No marriage can last long without respect,” Shakib lamented.
He went further, suggesting that despite the fame attached to being Zari’s husband, he felt disrespected and unvalued.
Diamond’s surprise visit
On August 6, 2024, the talented musician made a surprise visit to Zari’s mansion in South Africa for their daughter’s ninth birthday celebrations.
However, this surprise was not well received by Shakib, who was reportedly unaware of the visit.
