Daddie Marto reflects on self-worth hours after addressing marital issues
By Paulette Mboga, August 7, 2025Actor and media personality Daddie Marto has once again come out with a powerful Instagram reel on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
Accompanied by a reflective caption, the post marks a significant moment in his healing journey following a highly publicised separation from his wife.
The reel, there were the following words: “I will very easily adjust my life to accommodate your absence. Than to adjust my self-worth to accommodate your disrespect.”
His caption added a deeper layer to the message: “Turns out, the hardest part wasn’t the disrespect, it was realising how many people were comfortable watching it happen. At some point, silence stops being noble and starts becoming self-erasure. This isn’t about vindication, it’s about survival. Now healing can begin.”

Marto says silence was mistaken for guilt
The post comes just days after Marto publicly addressed the end of his marriage for the first time, revealing the timeline of events and the emotional turmoil that followed. He disclosed that the separation began in December 2024, with hopes of reconciliation. However, by March 2025, it became clear the relationship had ended, and he moved out by the end of April.
“That loss has been louder in my heart than anything said about me online,” he previously stated, noting that the greatest pain was not the public scrutiny but the personal grief of losing his family “as he knew it.”

Marto also explained his decision to remain silent during the initial fallout. According to him, the silence was not an act of evasion but a way to protect his children and process the situation away from public noise.
With his latest post, Marto appears to be reclaiming his voice and setting boundaries on how his story is told.
His message resonates with many who have followed his journey, especially those navigating their battles in silence. By acknowledging the harm of staying quiet for too long, Marto makes it clear that his healing will be on his terms—honest, intentional, and necessary.
