Former Citizen Television news anchor, Jacque Maribe, and the father of her child, Eric Omondi, celebrated their son’s graduation on Thursday, October 17.
Five-year-old Zahari, the celebrities’ child, is set to join lower primary after his graduation from nursery school.
Until Thursday, October 17, 2019, different online outlets published contradicting reports on who the father of Maribe’s son was.
Some factions alleged that it was State House digital strategist Dennis Itumbi, whereas others claimed it was comedian Eric Omondi.
And, now, Maribe has come out to set the record straight.
In a picture posted to her Instagram page on Thursday, Maribe confirmed Eric Omondi as her son’s father.
While posing for a picture, both Maribe and Omondi held either arm of the child in what the ex-Citizen political reporter described as a “family first” moment.
“Family first. Happy graduation day, Zahari. We, mum and dad @ericomondi, are proud of you,” said Maribe on her official Instagram page.
The picture was also shared by Omondi on his Instagram timeline. He, however, did not assign any caption to it.
Later Thursday evening, Itumbi took to the photo-and-video-sharing platform to congratulate Maribe and Omondi for “solidly guiding the minor” through his elementary education.
“Congratulations, the Omondis. Zahari’s graduation is a great statement of your solid guidance. May your bond last for eternity, and more. To both of you, my friends, [may you receive] God’s blessings. Bishop and President [Kenyatta] said, let those who are circulating fabricated reports to continue doing so,” said Itumbi on Instagram.
