Popular comedian YY has opened up about his recent body transformation, admitting that heartbreak was one of the driving forces behind his decision to hit the gym.

The funnyman, who has been trending after fans noticed his leaner and more toned frame, confirmed that the experience of emotional pain motivated him to take control of his health and fitness.

In a YouTube interview with Shiksha Arora on Thursday, September 4, 2025, YY acknowledged the buzz surrounding his new look.

“We saw the internet; YY has a new body. The comments that we saw were funny after we saw those photos of you. Some of the comments that we saw were that if a man goes through a heartbreak, it changes his whole body. Is that true? Did that motivate you to go to the gym?” Shiksha asked.

YY did not hesitate to give an honest answer. “What is the problem with that? Yes, it does. But yes, it does. Are we going to lie about that? Let us not lie. It does,” he replied, drawing laughter from the host.

Heartbreak to fitness goals

According to YY, channelling the emotions of heartbreak into physical fitness has not only been therapeutic but also rewarding. He explained that the gym gives him a positive feeling and a sense of accomplishment each time he works out.

“Gym has a feel-good effect at the end of it. You leave feeling good,” he said.

The comedian’s openness about his journey resonated with fans, many of whom related to the idea that breakups often trigger self-improvement or lifestyle changes.

On social media, fans pointed out how heartbreak can sometimes serve as motivation to reinvent oneself, whether through fitness, new ventures, or personal growth.

For YY, the heartbreak that once caused pain has now become a source of strength and transformation. His gym journey not only symbolises healing but also highlights the power of using difficult experiences as stepping stones toward growth.
