Bradley Marongo alias Gen Z Goliath has distanced himself from X (formerly Twitter) account attacking Milele FM presenter Jacquey ‘Wilbroda’ Nyaminde after she gave him a dressing down.
In a post on his Instagram account on Friday, September 20, 2024, the towering Gen Z noted that the X account @BradleyMtal was impersonating him.
“Fake account! Fake account,” Marongo captioned a screengrab of the parody X account impersonating him.
The X account had clapped back at Wilbroda after she criticized him following his mother’s shocking claim that he had neglected her after becoming famous and inking some lucrative deals.
“Huyu Wilbroda atafute content ya radio aache kuongelelea maisha ya watu. She is boring,” the account tweeted, sparking a wave of reactions online.
During her Milele FM show on September 18, 2024, Wilbroda voiced concerns about Marongo’s sudden rise to fame. She warned him about the fleeting nature of online stardom, advising him not to let his newfound popularity get to his head.
Wilbroda’s advice
“I want to talk to this young man, Bradley Mtall. This boy is moving too fast. He’s become too excited because of the attention, but he is far from being a celebrity. You will be very shocked at how quickly Kenyans move on. Just before Bradley, there was Kasmuel McOure, who was on every media station, but now he’s fading. Bradley should be careful not to let fame get to his head,” Wilbroda warned.
The Milele FM presenter also slammed Bradley in light of his mother’s claim about him alienating her after gaining fame.
“Mama yake amelalamika kwamba Bradley siku hii hashiki simu zake alafu na yeye ansema mamake hakuwa anashika simu yake wakati alikuwa amesota. Na hizi wiki mbili umejulikana na pesa gani hii sasa umetengeneza?” she said.
Adding that; “Kama kuna mahali mama yako alikukosea this is the time ya kumueka karibu and get her blessings… I tell you by next month, huyu kijana Bradley atakuwa nowhere. Kuna mwingine atakuwa ametokea, kitu kingine kipya kitakuwa kimetokea. So take yourself slowly.”
Bradley’s mom cries foul
In a heartfelt interview with Murende TV, Monica Marongo told viewers that her son Bradley had been dodging her attempts to communicate.
“Bradley ata saa hizi nkipiga simu yangu hashiki. Wale managers ako nao wawili wamemshika tu. Si rahisi anipigie simu. Juzi nilimpigia Monday tukakorofiana na yeye kabisa ata hakutaka niongee sana ju wale mamanager wenye wako nao ni wabaya, hawataki ata ule mtoto aongee na mimi, hawataki ata anipee kitu,” Monica cried foul, suggesting that her son’s managers were to blame for the disconnect.
Adding to her distress, Monica recounted her disappointment during her visit to Nairobi to see her son.
“Nilikua Nairobi, wakati mtoto alitoka Mombasa mara ya kwanza hakuna siku alikanyaga penye naishi na alipewa nyuma alilipiwa miezi tatu, ata nyumba yake yenye alipewa sijawaijua hio nyumba,” she shared.
Monica further expressed worry that Bradley was not only distancing himself from her but also from his wife and daughter.
She claimed that her son now has a new girlfriend in Nairobi who seems to be managing his communications.
“Alafu amepata kaschana kengine huku Nairobi, huyo mschana sasa ndo anareceive simu. Sasa ata hajui bibi yake,” Monica said.
In her emotional plea, she urged the said girlfriend to remind Bradley of his family obligations, reiterating her need for support as she struggles with daily necessities.
“Ako na bibi na mtoto mmoja mschana,” she added.
Director Trevor
In a stunning turn of events, Bradley Marongo’s manager, Director Trevor, rushed to the defence of the rising star after the viral video of his mother, Monica Marongo, sent shockwaves through social media.
Speaking to Ankali Ray, Director Trevor laid bare the facts surrounding the situation stressing that Bradley hadn’t neglected anyone.
“Bradley hasn’t abandoned anyone,” Trevor declared emphatically.
He explained that before Bradley’s fame skyrocketed, he had already separated from his wife.
As for their daughter, Trevor said the girl is currently living with Bradley’s mother.
Setting the record straight, Trevor stressed that Bradley is currently single and supporting his daughter.
