Kenyan multitalented musician Kevin Kioko widely known as Bahati has penned a heartfelt message to his foster son Morgan as he turns a year older.
In a statement via his social media accounts on Sunday, December 22, 2024, Bahati appreciated Morgan for being part of his life disclosing that before Morgan’s adoption, he was not ready for parenthood.
He went on to narrate how Morgan opened the doors of fatherhood and became a responsible family man. Bahati assured his first son of his full support, love and empowerment until he achieves his dreams.
“Dear son Morgan, over 12 Years ago when you were born into my life I honestly was never ready for parenthood but you became my life’s greatest blessing! You were an angel sent by God, a son, a friend and a key that opened my doors to fatherhood and becoming a responsible family man,”
“Do you know why we share a birthday??? somethings I will let know when you grow up as I have always promised you and I will affirm it to you on this 15th birthday… I your dad will always be here for you to provide, protect, guide, discipline, empower and love You until you achieve all your dreams!” Bahati wrote.
As his birthday wish, the father of five asked for God’s guidance in raising Morgan and his siblings.
“I Pray that God grants you the desires of your heart and may God help your mum Diana and me as we raise you and your siblings the best way God enables us. Today you turn 15 as I turn 32 Happy birthday to us @MORGAN_BAHATI AND @BAHATIKENYA,” he added.
Bahati adopted Morgan from ABC Children’s Home in Mathare when he was three years.

On September 21, 2023, Diana Marua revealed that Morgan was adopted way before she and Bahati started dating.
“Nilipatana na Baha, tukadate tukapendana na tukadecide kuishi pamojaIlipata Baha ameadopt three kids, Purity, Morgan, and Rose. All of them were in a children’s home. Morgan had come to support Bahati at one of the award events, and he won Bahati’s heart, and that’s how Morgan came to live with us. He was the first person to call me mom. I will forever be grateful for that,” Diana shared.
Diana Marua went on to attribute their family’s success to the blessings that Morgan brought to them.
“Izi magari zote, and houses tuko nazo, ni baraka za Morgan,” she added.
