Alex Mwakideu: Kelvin Kinuthia has gone too far with uterus transplant talk
By Paulette Mboga, September 10, 2025Radio host Alex Mwakideu has joined the growing debate surrounding Kelvin Kinuthia’s latest revelation, saying the content creator has now “gone too far.”
According to Mwakideu, men had largely kept silent as Kinuthia pushed boundaries over the years that Kinuthia came into the limelight. He recalled that when Kinuthia first began wearing women’s clothes, many chose to remain quiet. When he leaned further into a lifestyle that drew constant public attention, critics still held back.
“Ameanza na nguo za wanawake, wakawa wamenyamaza, akaanza kusonga, wakawa wamenyamaza,” Mwakideu said in his radio show on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, adding that many are questioning whether such a procedure has ever been attempted on a man.
But this latest announcement, that Kinuthia plans to undergo a uterus transplant, has left even his most tolerant followers stunned.
“Wanaume wa men’s conference wanamuambia Kinuthia ameenda mbali. Kelvin Kinuthia, umeenda sana, ” Mwakideu said. Kinaitwa uterus transplant. “Anataka kubeba watoto sasa. Kweli yuko mwanaume amefanya hivi?”
Background on Kinuthia’s revelation
Kelvin Kinuthia, a Kenyan crossdresser and digital content creator, has built a following by openly sharing his personal life and challenging conventional expectations of masculinity. His most recent revelation, however, was unlike anything he has shared before.

In an Instagram post on September 8, 2025, Kinuthia disclosed that he plans to undergo a uterus transplant (UTX), a rare and complex medical procedure in which a healthy uterus is taken from a donor and transplanted into a recipient. The surgery, still highly experimental, is usually performed on women with uterine factor infertility, enabling them to carry pregnancies.
“Life is so private; no one knows I’m getting a UTX surgery soon,” Kinuthia wrote, suggesting that while much of his life is public, this decision is deeply personal.
This is not the first time Kinuthia has surprised his audience. In June 2024, he shared a video explaining why he undergoes regular laser hair removal, saying he preferred a smooth look and shaved his beard frequently to maintain his image. The move sparked a wave of reactions, but the uterus transplant announcement has drawn far more intense debate.
