Heavy deployment of police officers was witnessed on Mondays, March 27, 2023, ahead of demos organized by Azimio la Umoja-One Kenya Alliance.
A spot check showed there was a contingent of anti-riot police officers across Nairobi on Monday morning.
In the Central Business District (CBD), there was a big contingent of police officers at the Globe roundabout.

There was also a police presence at City Hall Way, outside Holy Family Basilica in the CBD.

Anti-riot police were also sighted around the National Archives area along Moi Avenue.
An armoured police vehicle was spotted patrolling Processional Way, which is among the routes that can be used to access the State House.

Anti-riot police have blocked the intersection of the Nyerere-Processional road. Police were seen redirecting traffic when motorists tried using the route.
