Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu has stated that teachers captured in a viral disturbing clip face dismissal if found guilty.

Speaking in a press briefing, the CS said the six teachers from Itumbe DOK Primary School in Nyamache Sub-County, Kisii county who were seen forcing their pupils to perform an indecent act will face disciplinary action and sacking if need be.

The latest report from the police shows the matter was reported by Nyamache Sub-County Education Director Linet Onduso and that the six teachers were arrested.

“On inquiry, she discovered it originated from Itumbe Dok Primary School which is within Nyamache Sub-County,” a police statement seen by K24 Digital read in part.

The police and the director visited the school and launched a probe into six teachers who may have been involved in recording the viral video.

“Officers from Nyamache Police Station together with the reporter visited the said school and established that the clip originated from there and the following teachers from Itumbe Dok Primary School and are assisting in the investigation; Everline Moraa, Gladys Kenyanya, Angelicia Joseph, Moraa Nyairo, Catherine Mokaya, and William Isoka.

“Investigations commenced and other referable charges and report to follow,” the report added.
