Rapper Stephen Otieno Adera famously known as Stevo Simple Boy has been bereaved.

Stevo’s management MIB announced the death of his father Anthony Adera through a statement to the public.

“We woke up with sad news this morning announcing the death of ANTHONY ADERA father to Stephen Otieno Adera famously known as Stevo Simple Boy,” MIB said in part in a statement issued on Sunday.

Stevo’s management further urged his fans and friends to put him in their prayers and stand with him during this tough time.

“As MIB we feel the loss and we urge all fans and friends to stand with him during this tough time,” the management added.

MIB didn’t offer more details about the death of Stevo’s father.

The rapper was born and raised in Homa Bay county by his parents before he went to Nairobi as a kid to stay with his sister.

He studied in Homa Bay county from nursery to class seven and sat for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examination in Kibera, Nairobi.

Stevo Simple Boy was born and raised in abject poverty and only had his big break in early 2022 when he moved out of the ghetto.

He worked as a construction worker, a security guard and as a waiter in a hotel before his music career took off.
