Two people have died and 16 others injured in a road accident involving a matatu and motorcycle on Nandi Hills-Chemelil Road.
The matatu passengers were travelling from Wednesday’s passing-out parade in Eldoret.
Eyewitnesses said the crash happened on Wednesday at about 8 pm when the driver of the matatu swerved to avoid hitting a boda boda rider.
After swerving, the matatu rolled several times.
Those injured were taken to Nandi Hills Hospital but those who sustained serious injuries were moved to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.
Bodies of the deceased were taken to a mortuary in Kapsabet.
