Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi now says President-elect William Ruto should push his foot forward and end corruption among state and county officials across all 47 counties.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, the seasoned lawyer noted that the outgoing DP should begin by ensuring that all employees in the national and county government account for their wealth.

“President William Ruto must end the theft of public money by the national government employees and those of the 47 counties. How can he do this? Start with the 4 CS dollar Billionaires and ask every employee to explain his source of wealth.” he stated.

This according to the lawyer is a great strategy to recover Ksh2.4 billion within a period of two years.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) had previously asked all leaders exiting and those joining as newly elected and appointed to declare their wealth.

The anti-graft body had issued 30 days for the leaders to declare their wealth.

“We require each newly elected, nominated or appointed state officer, or any officer exiting government following the August election to declare their wealth, that of their spouses and children under 18 years,” EACC said.
