A family in Sirisia, Busia County, was on Friday, August 19, 2022, thrown into mourning after their kin was found dead in neighbouring Siaya County.
The lifeless body of the man of the cloth identified as Musa Kanoti was found in Dominion area.
Kanoti’s motorcycle was found next to the body, a preacher at Miracle Pentecostal Church in Rongo, where the deceased ministered, told a local publication.
“His motorbike and other items were found next to his body,” Samson Ogutu told Citizen Digital.
The family of the pastor is now calling on authorities to get to the bottom of the matter.
“We woke up to the news that his body has been found in Siaya. We urge the authorities to speed up investigations into his mysterious death,” a family member said.
The body of the deceased was moved to Siaya Hospital Mortuary as police continue with investigations.
Elsewhere in Kahawa West, Nairobi, police have intensified a search for a man believed to be behind the murder of his ex-wife.
According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, Susan Syombua was reported missing by her brother on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, and her rented house was locked from the inside.
When the police went to the scene, the body of the deceased was found lying in the bathroom naked.
Syombua, 35, had injury marks on the neck and shoulder, and blood was oozing from her mouth.
“Susan Syombua aged 35 was reported missing on 16/8/2022 and her rental house was locked from the inside. Her body was found lying in the bathroom with visible injury marks on the neck and shoulder with blood oozing from the mouth,” the police report read in part.
Police probe
Preliminary investigations by the police indicate that the ex-husband had been seen in the house by the caretaker.
“The deceased ex-husband was seen in the residence by the caretaker the night before and in the morning. Neighbours heard screams from the house but were not bothered,” the report added.
The body of the deceased was taken to Kenyatta University Memorial Funeral Home pending autopsy.
