Infotrak: Raila ahead of Ruto by 7 percentage points 6 days to polls

Azimio la Umoja One-Kenya Alliance presidential candidate Raila Odinga would win 49 percent of the vote if elections were held today, a new opinion poll by Infotrak has shown.

His archrival William Ruto, running on a United Democratic Alliance (UDA) ticket would scoop 42 percent of the votes, seven percenntage points behind Raila.

Roots Party candidate George Wajackoyah is at position three with 2 percent while David Waihiga of Agano Party has 0.3 percent.

At least six percent of the respondents are yet to make a decision on their preferred presidential candidate, with less than a week remaining to elections.

Out of the nine regions that include Nyanza, Lower Eastern, Coast, Northern, Western, Nairobi, South Rift, Mt Kenya and North Rift, Raila beats Ruto in six of them, putting him ata a vantage point.

Ruto leads in South Rift, Mt Kenya and North Rift regions where he polled 62, 66 and 64 percent respectively against Raila’s 31, 24 and 30 percent.
