The Roots Party Presidential candidate George Wajackoyah has consoled his rival United Democratic Alliance (UDA) flagbearer William Ruto.

This is after Ruto almost shed tears during a prayer meeting attended by senior members of the clergy from Nairobi County today August 2, 2022.

The prayer session called by the second in command was also attended by his wife Rachel Ruto and dozens of leaders allied to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.

The session was meant to see the clergy and leaders pray for the country ahead of the August 9 elections.

During the emotional session, Ruto almost shed tears, a development that has since been shared widely on social media.

Among those who sympathized with Ruto for crying is Wajackoyah who told Ruto that God would wipe away his tears.

“God will wipe your tears William Samoei Ruto,” Wajackoyah said as he encouraged him saying it shall be fine.

Unusually, Wajackoyah at the same time predicted that Ruto will clinch the presidency.

“Your victory will shock deep state,” he added.
