In a statement on Friday, July 29, 2022, the bhang with an estimated street value of Ksh500,000 was impounded at a two-bedroom house belonging to one Samuel alias Sammy Boy at Ucekeine Mundoro area.

Police busted the illegal substance that was packaged in six sacks and 53 small polythene bags in an intelligence-led dawn operation.

“The dusk operation directed to a house linked to a suspect identified as Samuel alias Sammy Boy of Ucekeine Mundoro area where the haul of bhang with an estimated street value of Ksh500,000 was retrieved from the suspect’s two-bedroom house,” police said.

The suspect, who narrowly escaped police dragnet, is being sought to answer to drug trafficking charges.

“The National Police Service remains focussed in the war against drug and substance abuse and urges the public to support the gains through sensitization campaigns and sharing of prompt information,” NPS added.
