The former Secretary General of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development UNCTAD, Mukhisa Kituyi has said he has mobilized a delegation of a religious group to curse Deputy President William Ruto for disrespecting Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.
Speaking in Kitale Trans Nzoia County, Kituyi said attacking Eugene Wamalwa is an attack on the larger Western region and the Luhya community.
“Eugene Wamalwa is my younger brother, it was unacceptable for William Ruto to come all the way from Sugoi to Trans Nzoia just to insult Eugene; yesterday, we agreed with the dini ya musambwa that they will curse William Ruto” Mukhisa said.
Mukhisa Kituyi adamant Raila’s government will fight corruption
Kituyi said the next government should intensify the fight against corruption and looting of public coffers.
“Azimio strongly believes in the fight against corruption. This election is for people who thrive in corruption and those against the vice therefore vote for the Azimio government” Kituyi appealed.
Speaking at the same event, Wamalwa said he chose not to support Ruto because he has been propagating divisive politics.
“I was with William Ruto and Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2013 and 2017 elections but in this election, I decided to support Raila Odinga because he sacrificed his ambitions in 2018 and agreed to have a handshake with President Kenyatta which was strongly opposed by Ruto,” Wamalwa said.
Wamalwa campaigned for the former Rift Valley Regional Commissioner George Natembeya who is eyeing the Trans Nzoia gubernatorial seat.
“Trans Nzoia County is still lagging behind because of poor leadership under Governor Patrick Khaemba who was elected on a FORD Kenya ticket. This time round, please choose a visionary leader who will liberate you from poverty and give you the needed development” he appealed.
Noah Wekesa said William Ruto is a bitter man who does not deserve to be given the leadership of the country.
“I am an elder and I can tell you Ruto is a worried man. His anger is not a quality of a Presidential candidate” he said.
