Comedian and actor Steven Oduor, alias DJ Shiti has opened up on his relationship with his former boss, Daniel ‘Churchill’ Ndambuki.
Speaking in a recent episode of Iko Nini podcast on YouTube, DJ Shiti recalled how the radio presenter came through for him when at his lowest.
DJ Shiti survived a road accident
The comic recalled how he narrowly escaped death after being involved in a grisly road accident while on his way to Nairobi.
He said he was traveling from his home village after being summoned by Churchill when he got into the accident.
“After the 5th episode of Churchill, I went back to ushago. I was called back to Nairobi when I got into an accident. It is YY who was driving and when we reached Limuru it was misty and we couldn’t see clearly
“I just found myself outside the car. The next thing I found myself in Nairobi Women’s Hospital,” the comedian said.
Churchill cleared hospital bill
The comedian said he was under medication for a while before he was discharged and Churchill offered to foot all the hospital bill.
This, the comic said, is why he doesn’t like when people talk badly about Churchill.
“Churchill generously paid my hospital bill and that is why I don’t like it when I see people talk bad about him. He is a good man,” the comic said.
DJ Shiti vs baby mama
In February, the comedian found himself on the spotlight after his baby mama Fash Hussein accused DJ Shiti of being a deadbeat father.
Fash blasted the content creator for allegedly sending her a measly KSh 150 as child upkeep for their daughter.
Taking the Instagram stories, she attached an M-Pesa message from October last year to back up her claims.
Fash later revealed that she is giving up on her daughter and surrendering her to DJ Shiti because she is depressed.
She noted that she hoped her daughter will grow into an amazing human being and that the decision was made out of love.
“I had no intention whatsoever to ever give up on my daughter but whatever I have been through, I have decided to give the father his kid. This is very tough but a necessity
“I just hope that she grows into an amazing human and may she forever know that this decision is out of love for her,” she wrote.
