Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz in May 2022 announced he will be buying a private jet and has ultimately done it two months later.
The ‘Mtasubiri’ hitmaker revealed he had acquired the jet while speaking during an interview with German broadcaster DW Africa.
Diamond stresses that he is forced to purchase expensive things like his Rolls Royce and the private jet so that he can be taken seriously.
“Sometimes for someone like me who came from the streets, when you buy a car worth like $1,000,000. What for? You have to do that, if not they will never value you, someone else will look like he is the real deal and you are not. In fact, I have just bought a private jet,” Diamond said.
Diamond’s Rolls Royce and private jet
Diamond on May 11, 2022, announced he will be buying a private jet this year while thanking his management for buying him a Rolls Royce Cullinan.
“We bought a 2021 Rolls Royce Black Bedge Zero killometre last Year, and we buying a Private Jet this Year!!! ✈ … thats the definition of having the Best management!…Fu*k! it’s my Manager @sallam_sk ‘s Birthday and we party hard at UPEPO GARDEN tonight!! 🌍,” Diamond wrote.
The Bongo singer bought his Rolls Royce In Dubai on June 7, 2021. He spent a whopping 2,250,000 United Arab Emirates dirham (Ksh71 million) to buy the 2021 Rolls Royce Cullinan Black Badge.
Diamond bought the monster British machine from a Rolls Royce dealer in Dubai, his manager Sallam SK Mendez was the one who sealed the deal.
