Media personality and TV host Anita Nderu and her husband Barrett Raftery are expecting their first child together.
Taking to her Instagram page, the media personality shared a video to announce her pregnancy after months of keeping it under wraps.
The video shows Nderu flaunting her growing baby bump which is seemingly in the third and final trimester.
The video also featured Raftery who was filmed seated on a chair in a well decorated film set and in another, posing for a photo with Nderu.
The couple went all African with their pregnancy reveal as most of her outfits was made with Maasai and Nigerian beads.
In one scene, Nderu also had paintings of African prints all over her body.
On the other, Raftery rocked suits which were complemented with a touch of Ankara.

In September 2021, Nderu and Raftery walked down the aisle in a wedding in Nanyuki which came days after their traditional Kikuyu wedding.

The wedding was graced by close friends and family members, who showed up to witness the love birds take their marriage vows.
Nderu later introduced her man in a social media post where she wrote;
“Everything about you makes my heart melt with happiness. I wanted to cherish my human and keep him to myself for as long as I could since the cat is out of the bag now, at least spell his name right. He is Mr. Barrett Raftery.”

Days to their wedding, the couple put up their wedding website where they shared little known information about themselves.
Among the unknown stories was how the lovely couple met and got into a relationship.
“One of our favorite couples Ivy and Andrew introduced us to each other, she put us in a Whatsapp group and exited once we said hello
“When the whole world was shut down due to the pandemic, we sheltered in place on different continents talking for hours each day getting to know each other for months and months,” the couple wrote.
Adding; “When the chance finally came to meet in person after many canceled flights, we convened in Zanzibar and the rest is history.”

In December 2020, Nderu sparked a debate online after disclosing that she was a member of the LGBTQ community.
Without divulging much information, the media personality simply put up a Tweet where she called for consideration of the community in Kenya.
“I hope my kids never have to go through what I have gone through for being LGBTQ+,” she tweeted.
This sparked reactions with many questioning her sexuality, while others questioned her decision to post such information on social media.
