American TV presenter Emily Compagno has attracted the wrath of Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) following her comments about women in the country.

Compagno while speaking during a discussion on Fox News claimed that pregnant women in Kenya are subjugated and are not even allowed to leave the house.

The Fox News presenter was making comparisons between the rights of women in Kenya and America following the controversial U.S. Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade, eliminating the federal right to abortion.

Fox News, a right-wing network, supports the Supreme Court’s ruling ending abortion in the US. Compagno while speaking on her show on Fox News dismissed claims by liberal Americans that the Supreme Court’s decision had set precedence in denying women their fundamental rights.

The controversial presenter argued that women in the US still enjoy many rights, making a comparison with Kenya where she claimed pregnant women are not allowed to leave the house and thus can’t vote.

KOT tears into Fox News presenter

Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) were quick to troll Fox News presenter Emily Compagno after she made the ignorant remark about women in Kenya.

Kitui governor Charity Ngilu joined KOT to savagely attack the American TV presenter, noting that the Fox News presenter can’t even locate where Kenya is on a map to start with.

“Wait, what? In Kenya pregnant women can’t leave the house? @EmilyCompagno probably start by locating Kenya on the map first maybe? @FoxNews @foxnewspolitics,” Ngilu tweeted.
