Police launch manhunt for gang of 3 that killed woman in city hotel

Police in Pangani, Nairobi, have launched a manhunt for a gang of three linked to the murder of a woman at a city hotel.

In a report seen by K24 Digital, Florence Mwinzi was attacked by three men on the night of Sunday, July 3, 2022, while in her hotel.

Police said the assailants stabbed the woman in the abdomen, leaving her for the dead.

“The sister to Florence revealed that three men invaded the deceased hotel on 3/7/2022 at 9:00 pm without a word and stabbed her in the abdomen and ran away,” the report read in part.

Mwinzi was rushed to the nearby clinic before being referred to Kenyatta National Hospital (KTRH) where she succumbed while receiving treatment.

The body of the deceased was moved to Kenyatta National Hospital Morgue awaiting autopsy.

Police investigate murder in Kayole

Elsewhere in Kayole, police are investigating the death of a 40-year-old woman who was found dead inside her house.

The decomposing body of the woman identified as Mama Zawadi was found by her neighbours.

Reports indicate that the woman was battling a mental problem before she met her death.

The body was moved to City Mortuary awaiting postmortem.
