Police in Naivasha have launched a hunt for a woman who allegedly fled with her lover’s car and Ksh700,000 after a night of revelry and laughter.

According to a police report filed by the man, the two arrived in Naivasha from Narok county on Saturday, June 11, 2022, ready to have a ‘fun-filled’ weekend ahead.

However, the woman reportedly in her 40s disappeared the next day without his knowledge.

Naivasha man reports to the police

The victim headed to the police to report the incident upon realising that his partner had duped and robbed him of his car and Ksh700,000 that he had earned from the sale of farm produce.

“The man has reported the matter and also claimed that he had stashed more than Ksh700,000 inside the car. We want to establish how the woman managed to slip away or if the man was drugged prior to the incident,” police said.

The police however assured the victim that they were making good progress with the hope of recovering the stolen car.
