Police have launched investigations into the murder of two men whose bodies were discovered inside an abandoned car in Kasarani, Nairobi, on Thursday.

In a police report seen by K24 Digital, the vehicle, a Toyota Vitz KCH 715, is said to have been stolen on the night of Saturday, May 21.

The owner of the vehicle, Jeremiah Malaba Nasikungu, reported the matter at Lucky Summer Police Station on the following day, Sunday, May 22 under OB Number 14/22/5/2022.

He told the authorities that the vehicle had been stolen from where he had parked it.

Nasikungu had gone to follow up on the matter yesterday at the station when he received information from a friend identified as Fanwel Toka that the vehicle had been spotted at an uncopied ground in Gathecha area.

“Immediately he rushed to the scene in the company of police officers and on arrival at the scene identified the vehicle to be his although the front and rear number plates had been removed,” the police report reads.

On peeping through the windows, they discovered two bodies of unknown middle-aged male adults inside with a foul smell emanating from the vehicle.

The bodies, police said, appeared to have blisters all over.

Police moved the bodies to City mortuary awaiting identification and autopy.
