Mediamax picks Mbugua Ng’ang’a as Eric Obino’s replacement at People Daily

Mediamax Network Limited has settled on veteran journalist Mbugua Ng’ang’a as Eric Obino’s replacement at its print wing, People Daily newspaper after the latter left the company to pursue his political ambition.

Mbugua will be the company’s Group Editor-in-Chief (print) starting immediately as Obino seeks election as Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament in August.

Until his appointment, Mbugua has been the Deputy Editor at Standard Newspaper. He is an experienced Head of Content with a demonstrated history of working in the media and communications industry.

He is skilled in Business Journalism, Team Leadership, Thought Leadership, Content Development, and Digital Media.

It is expected that Mbugua will breathe new life into the fast-growing and free newspaper in the country.

Obino had been at the helm of the content-rich newspaper since 2019 when he replaced Peter Opondo.
