KCSE 2021: List of top sub-county schools

The Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha has this afternoon released the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination results of the 2021 Class.

A total of 826,807 candidates sat for the KCSE exams across the country.

The CS noted that 50.9% of the total were male while 49.1% were female.

Out of the 47 counties, 18 counties recorded more female candidates than males.

The counties which had a record of more females than males include; Taita Taveta, Machakos, Kitui, Meru, Elgeyo Markawet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Tharaka Nithi, Uasin Gishu, Laikipia, and Kisumu.

The best performing sub-county schools were;

  1. Nyakeore Secondary School, Nyanza.
  2. Kebulonik Secondary School, Rift Valley.
  3. Banisa Mixed Secondary School, Mandera
  4. Manyatta Mixed Secondary School, Eastern
  5. Shibanda Mixed Secondary School, Western
  6. Heni Secondary School, Central
  7. Mary Happy Day School
  8. Al-Farsy Girls Secondary School.

The top and best performing candidates in the various sub-county schools included:

  1. Anthony Njuguna Muhoro, Kiamaina Secondary School (84.364)
  2. Owino Eric, Akoko Secondary School (83.71)
  3. Karuitha Clinton, Angaini Mixed Day Secondary School (81.449)
  4. Achesa Alukoti, Matunda Day Secondary School (81.237)
  5. Diangui Frank Wagura, St. James Kiarithia Secondary School (79.4)
  6. Mulei Kelvin, Dandora Secondary School (79.213)
  7. Nkirimia Dennis Mwamburi, Coast (78.246)
  8. Ronald Kipkoech, Kiblabotwa Secondary School (74.9)
