Bongo singer Diamond Platinumz delighted fans when he revealed he would be unveiling his new lover yesterday in a session that would be broadcast live on social media.

This was after a couple of days of keeping his fans guessing after highly publicising ‘the big reveal’ alongside his mum.

Well, to the disappointment of his fans Diamond announced his new endorsement role with Airtel Tanzania – a multi-million deal he says he is in love with.

“Mabibi Na mabwana, kama itawependeza niwapeleke rasmi moja kwa moja nikawatambulishe sehemu ambapo moyo wangu nimeuweka, sehemu ambayo napata faraja, raha, napewa ninachokitaka, burudani, nalala uisingizi mzuri, Mabibi Na Mabwana karibuni Airtel Tanzania,” Platnumz said.

In a separate post on Instagram, he wrote; “Am super proud to inform you that I am now @airtel_tanzania Brand Ambassador 🙏🏼Naam nimezama Kwenye Huba zito na @airtel_tanzania , Mtandao wenye kasi ya super 4G, Usio suasua, na Ulioenea Nchi nzima ❤🌹.”

He was appointed as the new brand ambassador alongside legendary comedian Lucas Mhuvile popularly known as Joti.

While some fans were happy for him, most were furious and felt played by the singer.

Here are some divided reactions sampled by K24 Digital;

@heissulleh; “kka umetupiga na tofali la block kichwan😂.”

@Wemasepetuclassic; “We Jamaa Utafika Mbinguni UKIWA UMECHOKA sana.”

@Anniepaul; “Yani ndio mkeo huyooo😮😢.”

@Lilidiva; “Sawa simba 😂😂😂🙌 .”
