Thugs shoot two police officers, steals Ksh25 million from bank in Bungoma

Suspected robbers have reportedly shot two police officers and a bank manager during a robbery incident in Kimilili, Bungoma county.

According to a police report seen by K24 Digital, the robbers stormed Ushirikia Bank in the town and stole Ksh25 million.

“S/sgt Boniface Hamisi was shot both legs at the thigh while Apc Joseph Lomulen was shot on the right knee,” police said in a statement.

The bank manager Kennedy Khalakai was shot on the stomach’s left side, and the bullet is still lodged in.

“The trio was rushed to Kimilili Sub County Hospital for first aid and later referred to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital, Eldoret in stable condition,” police added.

By the time of publishing this story, no arrest had been made in connection with the incident.
