A family in Uganda was left in shock after a medical examination revealed that their daughter’s right kidney was missing.
Contrary to what she had been told, the medics discovered that the kidney had been removed by their employer in Saudi Arabia dismissing reports that she had lost it in a car accident.
In a report by BBC, the woman identified as Judith Nakintu,38, had moved to the gulf in search of employment in 2019.
After two months stay, she lost touch with her family back home and a month later, her mother received a call that she was involved in an accident.
The mother of five would later plan her trip back to Uganda and was expected to arrive on October 30, 2021.
Upon arrival at the airport, the mother discovered her daughter was paralysed and was in a wheelchair.
“Uchunguzi wa madaktari nchini Uganda umethibitisha figo yake ya kulia ilitolewa , uchunguzi wa awali wa Polisi umetambua muajiri wake wa nchini Saudi Arabia kwa jina la Sadaffa Muhamed, alitoa ripoti bandia za kitabibu kuwadanganya wanafamilia ya muathiriwa.”
Loosely translated as; “(Medical reports show that her right kidney was removed contrary to previous reports by her employer whose report to the police claimed she lost the kidney due to an accident)”
The family is now seeking justice for their daughter.
