Comedian Jalang’o now says he will remain in the race for the Lang’ata Constituency seat only if he is picked to fly the Azimio la Umoja movement flag in the election.

Jalang’o said that the coming three months will determine if he will fly the coalition’s flag or not adding that though the race to clinch the ticket is tough, he is ready to battle it with his competitors.

“The journey for Lang’ata is on but we have the biggest battle right now; that is, the nominations for us to see who will fly the Azimio card,” Jalang’o said.

Speaking to YouTuber Mungai Eve, Jalang’o said if he fails in the nominations and misses the Raila Odinga-led coalition ticket, he will quash his dream of becoming Lang’ata MP.

The funnyman said that he would not go to the election as an independent candidate if he loses in the nomination, noting that the only sure way he would win the MP seat is by flying the ODM party ticket which is a key component of Azimio la Umoja coalition.

“I will simply wash my hands from the race if I don’t get nominated under Azimio la Umoja ticket, ” he said, insinuating that he will end his political ambition of becoming a Member of Parliament this year.

Jalang’o further said that he is however ready to support whoever wins the Azimio la Umoja ticket.
