The National Police Service (NPS) has dismissed fears of a looming terror attack in Kenya.

According to a Friday, January 28 statement by police spokesman Bruno Shioso, NPS said it is yet to receive any reports of a possible terror attack in the country.

The statement by the police spokesperson comes a day after the French and German embassies in Kenya warned its nationals to avoid public places alerting them of an imminent terror attack.

Shioso further assured Kenyans of their safety stating that “NPS assures the public that security in the country has been scaled up through different policing operations.”

He asserted that the service has re-engineered her units in line with modern-day policing dynamics, challenges and emerging threats.
