Deputy President William Ruto’s firstborn son Nick Ruto held his wedding yesterday, on Saturday, January 15, at Windy Ridge in Karen, Nairobi.

Nick,30, tied the knot with his lover Evelyn Chemutai in a beautiful traditional ceremony otherwise known as Koito among the Kalenjin community.

Chemutai, a daughter to Mr and Mrs David Baron from Laikipia county, donned a brown maxi dress in her natural hair with Nick putting on a white Kaunda suit and a fedora cap with a touch of African print.

In attendance were political leaders allied to DP Ruto including Governor Mandago and Stephen Sang, Senators Kipchumba Murkomen of Elgeyo Marakwet, Aaron Cheruiyot (Kericho) and MPs Alice Wahome (Kandara), Caleb Kositany (Soy), Gladys Boss Shollei (Uasin Gishu) among others.

This comes barely a year after Ruto’s firstborn daughter June officially walked down the aisle to her Nigerian learned lover Alex Ezenagu in May 2021.

Nick’s koito becomes the second nuptial among popular and high profile people this year following singer Guardian Angel’s wedding to Esther Musila at the beginning of the year.
