Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has shown signs that he is out of danger after he shared a picture of himself on a wheelchair being wheeled around the hospital’s building by a youngster.
Kuria has been at the hospital in Dubai undergoing specialised procedures after a series of locally conducted surgeries.
“I’m happy that I am recovering and that doctors have allowed me to go back to Kenya in February so that I continue serving the people of Gatundu North, Mt Kenya and the country at large,” Kuria said in his new year speech.
Kuria suffered third degree burns from an electric blanket which he bought at Ksh 250,000 after a referral from a friend.
The MP who doubles up as the Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) party leader has been struggling to get back to his feet after using the electric gadget.
On February 19, 2022, the MP is set to hold a thanksgiving ceremony at Thika Stadium in Kiambu County.
