Police in Laare, Meru County have seized 25 motorcycles believed to have been recently stolen from the region.
The security agents have also arrested four suspects in connection to the theft.
The four suspects arrested during the crackdown were unable to explain how they purchased the said motorcycles.
Confirming the incident, Igembe North Police Commander Mbatian Kantai said they received information from a resident about the sale of second-hand motorcycles.
Detectives suspect that the relatively new motorbikes were stolen from Isiolo, Embu, Tharaka Nithi and Kitui.
The motorcycles have since been displayed at the police station for identification by owners with the police boss urging those whose bikes were stolen in recent days to report to the station with relevant documents.
