Barchok Kipngeno Hillary, the current deputy governor of Bomet County, will be sworn in as theGovernor on Thursday, August 8.
The event will be held at the Bomet Green Stadium beginning 10am.
The announcement was made Friday in a gazette notice dated July 31.
The notice’s undersigned is Evalyne Rono, who is the Chairperson of the Assumption of the Office of the Governor Committee in Bomet County.
Kapchok, who will be the third governor of Bomet County, succeeds Joyce Laboso, who succumbed to ovarian cancer in Nairobi Hospital on Monday, July 29.
The Late Laboso will be buried at her matrimonial home in Fort Ternan, Koru Constituency in Kisumu County.
