Orange Democratic Movement(ODM) party leader Raila Odinga’s wife Ida Odinga on Friday, December 10, introduced their family to the public for the first time.

Ida seized the opportunity during Raila’s Azimio la Umoja meeting at Kasarani stadium.

“Your excellency Raila Odinga, all the leaders and our supporters hamjambo. I’m talking on behalf of my own dear family and I want to recognize you. I just want to quickly introduce members of the Odinga family, ” Ida Odinga began her speech.

Among the introduced family members were Raila’s sisters and brother Oburu Odinga with his wife Anna Oburu, Ida’s nephews and nieces, their daughters Rosemary and Winnie Odinga and son Raila Junior with his son.

Speaking of the event, Raila said he is overjoyed to join Kenyans and engage his supporters in a debate to come up with resolutions to forge forward as a unit.

“I’m overjoyed, we’re happy to join Kenyans at the grand Azimio la Umoja convention. Today is like a big wedding ceremony and Kenyans should be happy about it. We will be calling for cohesion and unity as we reflect on our journey. This year has been so hard for us as Kenyans but we have to get over our tribulations,” he said.
