Months after content creator and interior designer Muthoni Gitau officially confirmed her breakup with long-time boyfriend Nick Ndeda, she has come out and maintained she is still doesn’t want to bear children.

Speaking in a recent interview on Youtube, Muthoni says while she looks forward to a glamorous wedding and a blissful union, she doesn’t want to have children but will nature cats and travel the world with her partner.

“I see myself with a partner travelling the world and that end there,” she noted.

“I don’t want to give birth, I don’t want to mother.. I even don’t want to be a step mum, the only mum I want to be is a cat mum,” she added.

The vocal lady said she first made that decision at the age of 10 and her parents and family respect her decision since they feel they raised her well enough to make informed decisions.

She further said that most women are not allowed a chance to choose if they want to indulge in motherhood as it is a societal expectation.

She noted that most people cannot really give a reason why they need children except for legacy and family continuation.

“Women have been conditioned to serve men and are not allowed to choose what they really want in life. It’s okay to live, it’s okay to choose yourself,” she stated.

Citing an international talk show host Jeannie Mai, Muthoni says she totally relate with her since while she did not bear kids in her first marriage of 10 years, she got pregnant a month after remarrying rapper Jeezy whom she termed as her soul mate.

For her, the topic is very serious and she considers it as a first date conversation and she hopes not to end up with a partner who will try to convince her otherwise.
