Harambee Stars tactician Jacob Ghost Mulee has parted ways with the national team on mutual consent, the Football Kenya Federation has announced.

The federation also announced the resignation of assistant coach Twahir Muhidin and goalkeeping coach Haggai Azande.

Assistant coaches Ken Odhiambo and William Muluya will however remain with the team as the federation cobbles up a new technical bench that will see the Stars through the 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifiers.

Kenya is scheduled to face Mali on October 6, 2021, and October 12, 2021, in a two-legged fixture.

While announcing the development in a press statement sent to newsrooms, the federation has expressed its gratitude to the exiting tactician and his bench.

“FKF is immensely grateful to Coach Mulee and his departing members of staff for their dedicated service and workmanship. The federation wishes them all the best in their future endeavours,” the letter undersigned against the name of FKF CEO Barry Otieno read in part.

The national football body has assured fans that they have set in motion a process to select the replacement of the exiting bench and has vowed to unveil a new bench in due course.
