Former Citizen TV news anchor Terryanne Chebet has stirred mixed reactions online after she exposed seductive texts sent to her on Instagram by a jobseeker.

Terryanne posted a short narration of how an esteemed jobseeking man reached out to her, pleading with her to hire him.

The renowned business news anchor further narrates that she was forced to reconsider her decision of hiring the IT expert , whom she acknowledged was a suitable candidate for the job,after conducting a scrutiny of messages he had earlier sent her.

Terryanne shared screenshots of seductive messages that she claims were sent to her by the man. The messages, according to her, were displeasing and would greatly affect their working relationship if she was to actually employ the said man.

“I’m all about shooting your shot, but not when you’re actively job hunting. Got an inbox, good candidate, mailed him to book an interview, only to scroll up on IG to see messages he’d been sending me, which I hadn’t seen,” she posted.

In his plea, the unidentified man, spelt out his qualifications and by extension offered to work as an intern before permanent employment.

“Hi Terryanne, I loved your conversation with Benard Ndong on Instagram Live. I’m an IT diploma graduate, digital manager and content creator and would love to work for you. I don’t mind starting as an intern,” he said in one of the screengrabs shared online by Terryanne.

Terryanne also shared screengrabs of the messages sent to her by the man, as he avowed his strong emotions towards her.

Her post has however not augured well with certain quarters online. In their argument, the netizens argued that her grounds of denying the man the job were flimsy.

A separate faction supported the former TV girl, arguing that it was imprudent to share a workstation with an intern who has confessed their feelings for you.

Here are some reactions sampled by K24 Digital;

@LordSkyla: “Terryanne could’ve still made her point known without all those screenshots. She didn’t even tell him that his behaviour is unbecoming and that he should stop. She just let him go on so she could have content to screenshot.”

@MungaiCess: “As much as I do not agree with you on posting this here, it’s just wrong but the man was also wrong. You don’t send such messages to your employer it’s just unprofessional.”

@BenjiNdolo: “How can one be in love with someone they hardly know? Communication is such an important aspect of life.”

@gatheks: “His utility value just doubled. Give the poor lad a chance then send all the extra work his way.”

@ErickOchola: “I’ll ask you to reconsider and give the young man a chance, He was just but expressing himself, he is clearly in love but jobless.”
