Detectives have launched a manhunt for four ‘wash wash’ suspects, believed to be part of a larger syndicate in the illegal business of printing fake currency.

In video clips doing rounds in sections of social media, three of the suspects were captured giving one of their accomplices some thorough beating.

It is evident that one of the suspects who was flashing a bunch of notes and flanked by beautiful women carrying different brands of alcohol were at a party.

According to the detectives, this video revealed the dirty dealings the suspects have been engaging in and immediately launched investigations.

In the said video, the accomplice, who appeared intoxicated in a drinking spree, flaunted the money as he promised the seemingly excited women, an adventurous and fun-filled trip to the sandy beaches of Mombasa County.

Their plans however went up in smoke after his accomplices learnt about his escapades. They stormed his house and descended on him mercilessly, accusing him of disloyalty, betrayal and not ‘working smart.’

Detectives have asked vigilant citizens to be on the lookout and assist them in identifying the suspects.

“Kindly watch the videoclip (referring to the video doing round social media) and assist us in identifying the suspects,” DCI’s statement read in part.
