Christiano Ronaldo has broken his silence following his two-year signing to his former club Manchester United.
The 36-year old said it is a dream come true going back to Old Trafford where he experienced many of his ‘firsts’ in his football career.
“I can’t even start to explain my feelings right now, as I see my return to Old Trafford announced worldwide. It’s like a dream come true.
“My first domestic League, my first Cup, my first call to the Portuguese National team, my first Champions League, my first Golden Boot and my first Ballon d’Or, they were all born from this special connection between me and the Red Devils,” he wrote.
The Portuguese player further noted that even while he played against the team, he has always felt the love and respect from his supporters in the stands.
He assured the fans of great success as he and the entire club rewrite history once again.
“I’m right here! I’m back where I belong! Let’s make it happen once again!”
“This is absolutely 100% the stuff that dreams are made of! History has been written in the past and history will be written once again! You have my word!” he wrote.
Ronaldo played for Manchester United between 2003 and 2009 and bagged the English Premier League title for three years in a row (2006/2007/, 2007/2008 and 2008/2009)
In his 292 games with the Red Devils, he scored a total of 118 goals.
He is also a five-time Ballon d’Or winner and a five-time UEFA Champions League winner, four being with Real Madrid in 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2018.
After leaving Man United, he played for Real Madrid and Juventus to win league titles and in 2016, he won EURO champion with Portugal.
In his entire career, the father of four has piled up 674 club goals in 895 appearances.
